Are Brand Logos Unique Anymore?

In recent years, it has been glaringly obvious that brands have started to over simplify their logos. Browsing the web, every logo seems to nearly be the same font with slightly different spacing and coloring. Although the brands have still remained mostly recognizable, if we continue to see brands get simpler and simpler with their designs, there won’t be much left to make them unique.
